Marc Serra's side win all four games against Deportivo (2-1), Rayo (2-1), Sporting (3-0) and Valencia (3-0)
There is to be a Catalan derby in LaLiga Promises, the tournament for U12 teams being held this week in Villarreal, as Barça take on RCD Espanyol for a place in the quarter finals at 13.00pm CET on Saturday. Barça qualified with wins against Deportivo (2-1), Rayo (2-1), Sporting (3-0) and Valencia (3-0).
Diego Almeida and Àlex Valle scored the goals in the first of Friday’s 12 minute each way matches. That was followed by a nervy encounter with a Rayo Vallecano team that led at half-time before Pablo Páez and Gavi turned things around after the break.
Perfect day
Barça then posted a wonderful display to dispose of Sporting, with Gavi scoring a scorcher and Pablo López making it two before the sides changed ends. A spectacular goal from Aleix Garrido finished off the job. The last game of the day was another exhibition against Valencia, with Àlex Valle scoring twice and the coming from Gavi.
